obama

Just looking at some more pics of Tuesday night's celebration in chicago. I still get teary-eyed. Its such a wonderful feeling to have hope.

I was a little bummed that I wasnt there in chicago, as I had an opportunity to be there for the magical night in history.

Instead I was in Berkeley, dining with my best friend adrienne at an indonesian restaurant. still a magical experience. the few of us in the restaurant were so connected in hope and excitement. and i was happy to spend it with adrienne. then out on the streets of berkeley. people going nuts and screaming with joy.

heard on the radio that oakland was off the hook, so we headed over there too. people were dancing in the streets. it was great. as we crossed the bay bridge back into san francisco (always a magical moment when we share that together) obama began his speech. adrienne and i were at times in tears as we took it all in. obamas words of hope. the view of the city and the lights of the bridge. being together for this amazing moment.

then headed to our spots (ex. delirium, pakwan) in the mission to continue celebrating the historical event. people were running in the streets, waving american flags. praising god. everyone was so connected. and overjoyed.

as much as i would have loved to be in grant park that night, i am happy i was able to share it with adrienne. its a beautiful thing.
